Friends of Avonmore PTA
Who are we?
We are the parents and carers of children at Avonmnore Primary School. We volunteer our time to raise funds and organise events for the children and the school community. We help create the special community spirit that exists at Avonmore.
What do we do?
We organise several events each school year. Previously, we have helped to organise events such as a school disco, a summer fair and a charity bake sale.
What is the money raised used for?
We raise money to pay for the ‘extra’ things that will make a child’s experience at Avonmore even more special and stimulating. This includes things such as purchasing more iPads, hiring special guests to come into school to work with the children, funding trips that are above and beyond the usual cost and buying extra playground equipment.
How can I get involved?
We ALWAYS need volunteers to help with the organising and running of events. It doesn’t need to take up much of your time – but we need your energy and enthusiasm! Please speak to Mr Brown if you would like to get involved!
If you don’t have time to spare, don’t worry! We are always looking for fantastic prizes/gifts for raffles etc. Perhaps you are able to help with the donation of a prize.
